When Amber’s owner passed away, she was left to fend for herself. Unfortunately, her owner’s family did not have a plan for Amber if her owner passed away, and they simply decided to leave her behind rather than find her a new home.
Over time, new people moved into the house and the new owners also didn’t want to keep Amber because they already had other dogs.
Fortunately, the new owners did the right thing and contacted Howl Of A Dog for help. They were planning to tear down the old house and fence and build a new one, and they didn’t want Amber to end up on the street.
Howl Of A Dog came to pick up Amber and now has her safe in his care.
Although they don’t know what Amber’s previous life was like, they can assume that it wasn’t very good because she was too distrustful of people and too afraid to let anyone near her.
He also had no microchip or veterinary records, so rescuers have no idea if he ever received professional care.
They also assume that she was stuck living outside since there were a bunch of old dog houses in the backyard. She was also covered in thousands of ticks and was diagnosed with babesiosis, a tick-borne disease.
They gave her a much-needed bath and treated her for the illness.
Fortunately, she is doing much better. But she now needs a loving forever home!
She is three years old, gets along well with other dogs and is very gentle and calm. She’s still shy around people she doesn’t know, but now she finally warms up to them.
Although she is currently in care in Romania, she can be adopted internationally. If you are interested in providing a loving home, please contact Howl
